Xo village Mai Chau Valley is a remote village in Mai Chau where 40km away from the center of Mai Chau. Xo village is also a land where Thai ethnic minority people living and working since thousands years ago. Because it locates at the deep of Mai Chau valley so the typical features of Thai Community is still reserved and kept until now. It is a fabulously peaceful and pristine village in the deep of forest so few people from outside came there. Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Châu - Lac Village - Xo village (L, D)

You will be picked up at your hotel at 8.00am in Hanoi by experienced driver and our guide. Then, starting your Mai Châu trip deparing from Hanoi at 08:00am and we head on to Mai Chau. On the way get to Mai Chau valley, you have a chance to view stunning scenery along 2 ways. There are spectacular views along highway6 to Mai Chau. You will take a short break in Hoa Binh Hydroelectric Power Station where you can free to take scenic photos and enjoys fresh air.
About 11.30 - 12.00, you will arrive Lac village and have a delicious Vietnamese food in here. Then you take a rest and spending free time to looki around Lac Village. In the afternoon, you continue taking a short-visit to local villages already as the tour itinerary. Visit Lac Village and Poom Coog villages in Mai Chau, we will take a short walk to visit the ethnic Thai people to know more about unique house structure and design - namely House-on-stilt and communicate with friendly local people. After kick-off time, we take a rest for transferring to Xo Village.
We have short transfer to Xo Village area and check-in here. Then we start joining Cooking class in Xo Village by cook traditional meals of Thai people in here. On arrival in Xo village, the host family welcome us, free time to take rest or walk around the village, have shower then a traditional dinner on this typical Thai stilt house. Overnight at home-stay in Mai Chau.

Day 2: Trekking full day Xo Village - Van Village - Hanoi (B, L)

We will begin the second day tour early. You will get up early and enjoys fresh air on early morning in Xo village and have a light breakfast. After breakfast, we start a day trek. We will continue on through beautiful valley, unspoiled villages with nice view of karst mountains and a lot of green rice terraces, especially if you come here in the harvested season, you will be impressed by ripen yellow rice field - catchy-eye scenery. Then, you will be closed to daily life of local people and explore a part of culture of vietnam in general and Mai chau in specific by reaching Van Village - an adjacent village of Xo village. After 3-4 hours trekking in villages, we have typical Vietnamese lunch break. In the afternoon our driver pick us up and transfer back to Hanoi. You return Hanoi about 18.30 or 19.00. End of this tour and keep unforgettable memories about your Mai Chau Tour.
