Pu Luong Nature Reserve is a nature reserve in
northern Vietnam. This nature reserve is situated in Quan Hoa and Ba
Thuoc districts of Thanh Hoa Province, North Central Coast region of
Vietnam. Pu Luong Nature Reserve is bordered by Mai Châu, Tan Lac and
Lac Son districts of Hoa Binh Province. The reserve is located along two
parallel mountain ridges, that run from north-west to south-east, and
are divided by a central valley, which contains several human
settlements and a large agricultural land area, therefore, is not
included within the nature reserve. Pu Luong is endowed with great
biodiversity, its flora and fauna is closely associated with the Cuc
Phuong National Park 25 km south-east

Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi - Mai Châu - Pu Luong((~ 170 km, about 3 - 4 hrs)(L, D)
About 11.30 - 12.00, you will arrive Poom Coong village and take a short-visit to local village already before taking in part other activities in tour itinerary. On arrival Poom Coog village in Mai Chau, we will take a short walk to visit the ethnic Thai people to know more about unique house structure and design - namely House-on-stilt and communicate with friendly local people. After kick-off time, we have a lunch break in this village and take a rest for revive energy for afternoon's activities.
In the afternoon, we have short transfer to Pu Luong area and check-in here. Then we start hiking to Kho Muong village for the night. On arrival in Kho Muong village, the host family welcome us, free time to take rest or walk around the village, have shower then a traditional dinner on this typical Thai stilt house.
Day 2: Pu Luong nature reserve - Thanh Hoa - Hanoi (B, L)
We will begin the second day tour early. You will get up early and enjoys fresh air on early morning in Mai Chau valley and have a light breakfast. After breakfast, we start a day trek. We will continue on through beautiful valley, unspoiled villages with nice view of karts mountains and a lot of green rice terraces, especially if you come here in the harvested season, you will be impressed by ripen yellow rice field - catchy-eye scenery. Then, you will be closed to daily life of local people and explore a part of outdoor market culture of Vietnam in general and Mai Chau in specific by reaching Pho Doan market after 3-4 hours trekking where we have typical Vietnamese lunch break. In the afternoon our driver pick us up and transfer back to Hanoi. You return Hanoi about 18.30 or 19.00. End of this tour and keep unforgettable memories about your Mai Chau Tour.
