Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi -Mai Chau (~ 130km/80 miles) (L/D) 

Our driver and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi and then we will drive towards Mai Chau. Arrive at Khanh Village you will jump on your bikes for a journey along the twisting mountain pass to Mai Chau Valley. After one hour enjoying the spectacular beauty on the way, you’ll reach Mai Chau to check in a stilt-house then have lunch. (For those who wish not to ride in this spectacular slopping pass, support car is available to transfer you to the stilt house).
In the afternoon, you’ll continue to cycle to some local ethnics villages in the area, enjoy peaceful moments of the countryside and take the opportunity to deeply understand the daily life and cultural customs of locals.
Your dinner will be served with traditional dishes and you can also enjoy local music and dance performances at the community house. The distance between the top and bottom of White Stone pass is about 500m (250m-750m)

Day 2: Mai Chau-Moc Chau (B/L/D)

In the morning, we will drive to Moc Chau, stop at the Moc Chau’s welcome gate to get the bikes ready and you will start your cycling tour to visit Thai and H’Mong Villages. From Chieng Di Hamlet, you will ride a bike through Moc Chau tea plantation hills as well as take visit to Moc Chau dairy farm and several hamlets with hundreds of fruits and flowers species on the way. Lunch will be served in a restaurant with local specialties.
In the afternoon, you will spend time visiting tea plantation hills and local villages as well as communicate with the locals. In the evening you will turn back Moc Chau town and spend your night at Hotel. (Home-stay optional).

Day 3: Moc Chau - Hoa Binh Hydropower Reservoir - Hanoi (B/L)

After enjoying a delicious breakfast with a cup of hot cow’s milk – a specialty of Moc Chau town, you will get on the car to Dong Bang intersection where you will get your bikes again and start your cycling trip in an off-the-beaten trail to Hoa Binh hydro-power reservoir.  On the way you will see the panorama view of this largest man-made reservoir in Vietnam dotted with charming waterfalls and peaceful villages located by the Black River’s bank. We will stop at a small village for lunch with local specialties in fascinating and spectacular scenery of Hoa Binh reservoir.
In the afternoon you can continue cycling on the rugged mountain road through the plains or relax at the stilt-house.
At about 15:00, we will pack up the bikes and leave this charming village. Our interesting discovery tour will end in Hanoi at around 19:00
